Litchfield Hills Tourism and Sightseeing
The Litchfield Hills is a beautiful scenic area which epitomizes the New England experience with white picket fences, untouched scenery, stone walls and rolling pastures. There is a little something for everyone from country inns, bed and breakfasts to world class resorts and hotels. Kent has been noted by Yankee Magazine as the best place in New England to view fall foliage. The area is known for antique shops, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, quaint villages and fine dining. Litchfield Hills is also a great spot for family fun as there are two Amusement Parks in the region, Quassy Amusement Park and Lake Compounce. It is a year round destination as it has three ski areas and miles of cross country ski trails in its 18 nature centers and 30 state parks and forests.
