Description	Weston Manor was built in 1789 by William and Christian Eppes Gilliam. The house, overlooking the Appomattox River, is located in an area of Virginia whose roots as an English settlement go back to 1613. Today it is the only surviving 18th Century manor house on the Appomattox River. Listed on the National Register of Historical Places, Weston is considered notable for preserving much of its original interior, especially its distinctive moldings, wainscotings, and chair rails. It is furnished with period antiques and selected reproductions. Guided tours($) of all three floors of the house and the reconstructed kitchen dependency are available throughout the year. Group Tours are available by appointment. Gift Shop on site.
