Other Destinations Near Twin Cities To Visit The North Shore of Lake Superior is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream, perfect for sea-kayaking, fly-fishing or skiing and just a 2-3 hour drive. The shores of the scenic Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers are close enough for cruises and day visits. Stillwater offers antique stores while water fun at Lake Minnetonka includes sailing, swimming, boating, fishing and fun.
