| Description | Based in Asheville, North Carolina, we offer guided float fishing trips in the French Broad River Basin from rafts equipped with fishing-specific oar frames. Efforts are concentrated on the main French Broad River, North Carolina's premier smallmouth bass fishery, with several tributaries providing quality options as needed. A maximum of 2 anglers and a guide go in each raft. We use classic spinning gear and techniques with artificial lures, and practice CATCH AND RELEASE fishing. The spinning gear is provided, but feel free to bring your fly rod and gear if you prefer.
