| Description | In 1969, the women and men of Seneca Falls created the National Women's Hall of Fame, believing that the contributions of American women deserved a permanent home in the small village where the fight for women’s rights began.
At the National Women’s Hall of Fame, in historic Seneca Falls, we are preserving and telling the stories of outstanding American women every single day. To date, the Hall has honored 247 esteemed women whose achievements have influenced and shaped the arts, athletics, business, education, government, humanities, philanthropy and science. As a highly-renowned resource in women’s heritage and achievement, the Hall uses the stories of our Inductees as educational tools to inspire visitors to discover their own paths to greatness.
