| Description | Located within the 225 acres of Sapsucker Woods, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology is devoted to the study and conservation of birds. Outside there are more than four miles of trails that wind through a variety of habitats that serve as nesting, roosting and feeding areas for birds and other wildlife. Inside the Johnson Center, the Morgens Observatory features an expansive wall of windows overlooking both Sapsucker Woods Pond and the specially designed Treman bird-feeding garden, art from many North American artists, especially Louis Agassiz Fuertes, as well as the Bartels Family Multimedia Theatre, a working sound studio, an object theater, bird identification kiosks and a Wild Birds Unlimited shop.
