| Description | Discover the world and learn through play! Offering a variety of hands-on, family-oriented exhibits and programming, The Children’s Museum of Cleveland is the Northeast Ohio destination and resource for all young children, parents and caregivers to engage in fun, innovative, interactive play that accelerates the child’s creativity, development and education.
Permanent exhibits include Splish! Splash! exploring the world of water and weather; Bridges to Our Community, a miniature Cleveland designed for interactive, imaginary role-play including a 2-story house and replica Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital; and Big Red Barn designed specifically for infants and toddlers age 4 and under.
Additional rotating seasonal exhibits change every 3-4 months and may include:
Blast Off! Families Exploring Space Together. Developed in collaboration with experts from NASA’s Glenn Research Center, is designed to allow young children to pretend, play and explore space in a fun and creative atmosphere. By encouraging family participation and incorporating hands-on family learning in an interactive environment, the whole family can let their imaginations soar!
Healthier Ever After, an interactive, immersive fairytale forest where children must maneuver through a make-believe forest overcoming obstacles as they exercise their bodies and learn healthy nutrition facts in a fun, playful manner. In doing so, everyone experiencing this exhibit will learn to live healthier ever after.
Abracadabra! Everyday Magic where both children and adults will come to understand how what may appear to be magic can be explained through principles of math or science.
And Young Architects: Designing the Future which highlights famous architects as inspiration and over a thousand assorted building blocks – wooden, plastic, foam, and more in a huge variety of colors, shapes and sizes – inspiring children (and adults) to either attempt to replicate the amazing designs illustrated or to let their creativity soar as they design and build a structure that is uniquely their own.
The Children's Museum also offers a variety of activities, camps and workshops year-round for children, birth to age 8.
Located within the Museum is our official gift shop, ELF Corner for Early Learning Fun! Filled with entertaining and educational toys, books, plush and puzzles, it is the perfect place to find that special gift that will continue the learning long after your visit.
