It will be a day your friends and family will never forget. American Horse Trails is a great way to have some fun in the sun with your loved ones. All our trails are private (your party only). We offer four trails: The Sugar Mill Trail (one hour-walk only), Harvest Moon Trail (two hour-walk and trot), Wind Cove Trail (three hour trail-includes walk, trot, canter, and a Barbeque), and The Thundering Hooves Trail (an hour and a half-it is 95% trotting and cantering, and for the experienced rider). Our renowned tours of Lake Jessup, said to be the most alligator populated lake in the state, provide guests with an exciting ride unmatched anywhere! Guests can expect to encounter alligators, turtles of all sizes, and thousands of species of birdlife including the majestic bald eagle. Airboats depart every 30 minutes from 9 AM to 5:30 PM (extended hours during summer) Tuesday through Sunday. Of course all of our Captains are U.S. Coast Guard Licensed.

Florida's wildlife provides an extraordinary aesthetic experience. Wading birds commonly observed include great, snowy, and reddish egrets, great blue herons, white and glossy ibis, roseate spoonbills, and many more. We see dolphins on almost every trip, and often see manatees and alligators, too. Most of the time we cruise in waters completely surrounded by protected Federal lands. The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is a beautiful place to spend one day or several.

Our Fishing Charters include everything an angler needs to fish in Sarasota, with the exception of food and beverages. Snook, Redfish, and Trout thrive in Sarasota area waters year round and can be caught on light tackle using artificial or live bait. Tarpon (May-July), King Fish (spring and fall) and Cobia also can be caught in the Sarasota area.
