| Description | Weedon Island Preserve is an expansive 3,190-acre natural area located on Tampa Bay. The preserve is home to numerous species of native plants and animals and is dominated by aquatic and wetland ecosystems.
The preserve features a variety of boardwalks and trails, a large fishing pier, canoe rentals, paddling trails, and an educational facility rich in cultural history and exhibits everyone could enjoy.
Visit Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center for interpretive hikes, workshops, exhibits, and other programs.
The Preserve holds various festivals and events throughout the year, private events and weddings, and is available for seasonal school field trips and summer camps.
Admission is free and donations are welcome!
