| Description | Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See was established in 1946 and has been serving Kankakee and surrounding counties for over sixty years! Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See provides the community with an open-youth camping program for children ages 7-16 each summer. Campers can choose from a five or seven day camping experience. The campers participate in many activities such as; archery, arts and crafts, field games, swimming, nature, jewelry making, the challenge course and many more!
Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See is open year-round and can accommodate up to 240 people over night and many more for day only or tenting events. Camp Shaw has great indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate almost any event and offers onsite catering to make your stay easy and enjoyable! Camp staff can plan programming for your group from the moment you arrive until you depart, or you can just come and enjoy the sounds of the creek running through the property and the wind in the trees! Booking your event early is a great idea, as the calendar quickly fills at Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See!
