The Indian Artifact Museum with over 5,000 artifacts found locally by Tony Sanders has beautifully laid wood backdrops or cases to display the artifact items that range back to 12,000 years.

Stroll through the flower gardens set among the historic grist mill walls along the river, or rent a kayak or inner tube at the outdoor rental place to float down the Des Moines River. Lodging, campgrounds, shelter house and historic Stone House has places to stay or gather to enjoy not only Bentonsport but all the Villages of Van Buren.
