Sightseeing Dead Horse Point State Park, Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, the three official scenic byways near Moab and the alpine drive, La Sal Loop Road are musts. The Colorado River by Moab is more accessible here than in Grand Canyon, so enjoy it. In as little as 4 hours, there is a motorized jet boat tour that can include toddlers. You get a look at petrified wood and mollusk fossils from the Precambrian. The Scenic Splash enables families with children weighing 40 pounds or more to get an introduction to rafting in Professor Valley. Four periodic rapids punctuate six miles of scenic river during a half day adventure. Go all day and get lunch on the riverbank included! For dependable whitewater rafting, sign up for Westwater or Cataract Canyons. Westwater has eleven rapids in a 17 mile stretch of the Colorado River and Cataract Canyon has 26 rapids in a hundred mile trip that concludes on Lake Powell.
Newer to the offerings in Moab are weddings, meetings and conferences. Great Lake Airlines has two daily, commercial flights servicing Moab from Denver and Las Vegas. The Canyonlands Airport code is CNY. Travels from further away than those cities, get the ticketing completed with Frontier and United Airlines. Meet Differently, Meet in Moab or hop over from a convention in Las Vegas or Denver. Come to get a mountain bike ride on the world famous slickrock trail, canyoneer to the spot of the movie "127 Hours" or get on the Colorado River. Just more reasons to LoVe Moab!
