January is the coldest month with the afternoon average high temperature hitting 75 Fahrenheit. Average lows in January descend to 56 degrees. July and August are the hottest months with highs in the 90s. September is the wettest month with a rainfall averaging close to 8.5 inches; June runs a close second in the waterworks division with around eight annual inches of rainfall.
Transportation
Palm Beach is easily accessible via 1-95 as well as the Florida Turnpike. American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Kiwi, Northwest, TWA, United, and USAirways serve West Palm Beach International airport. Amtrak has a West Palm Beach Terminal.
Once there, a car is the best way to get around. However, the recently renovated Palm Tran encompasses a 32-stop-route, 140-bus fleet.
