Area Overview
Blanchard, Oklahoma is a fast growing community about 30 minutes south of the Oklahoma City metro area. Blanchard has a small town feel with festivals, parades, community events and so much more. We also enjoy a short drive to the metro when needed, but have the beauty of a more rural lifestyle with acreage available if desired. Residents enjoy the friendliness and close knit feeling of our community. We enjoy several restaurants with southern "home" cooking, a fresh, made as you order burrito/taco grill and many more. We have several boutiques in our quaint, historic downtown area for your shopping pleasures too!

Blanchard is home to many festivals and parades, such as the annual May Daze Festival, a bluegrass festival, Independance festival and Pumpkinfest. We also enjoy many parades throughout the year such as a St. Patrick's Day parade, Homecoming parade, Veterans Day Parade and a Christmas parade. Our city hosts concerts in the park and movies under the stars every summer in our beautiful city park which features play areas, a splash pad, basketball court, picnic pavilion, walking trails and more! We have a beautiful historic downtown area with boutiques for shopping and plenty of great dining options. We also have a 10 lane bowling alley, sports complex for baseball and softball and a classic car museum. We are also home to the legendary Winter Creek golf course!

Cultural Activities

We feature live music at most of our festivals and concerts in the park during the summer. We also have a memorial statue area honoring the late Tony K. Burris, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, Silver Star and Purple Heart after he was killed in action in the Korean War.

Attractions

|
Blanchard is known for it's rolling hill sides of beautiful land. As you enter the city you may notice buffalo grazing in the pasture.

We are located within 30 miles of the Will Rogers airport in Oklahoma City and we do have access to rental cars.

Overall weather is mostly sunny and warm throughout the year. Periods of rainy seasons it the Spring and an occasional ice/snow storm in the winter. Spring sometimes provides us with severe weather and the occasional tornado.

Although Blanchard does not offer any overnight accommodations, we have several choices within as little as a 15 minute drive.
