Description | The Flora & Fauna art exhibit (March 4-26) explores the interdependence of plants and animals, combining art and environmental science. In recent years, climate change and pollution have endangered the complex interactions between plants and animals. Pollinators such as birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals are vital to creating and maintaining the habitats and ecosystems that many rely on for food and shelter. Plants like almond trees, berry bushes and flowers need pollinators to survive and reproduce. Large animals, like giraffes and elephants, rely on plants for food, shelter, and shade to protect them from the environment and predators. This art exhibit is focused on exploring and showing these connections.
