Description | Just as people need art, art needs people. On display June 7-July 26 in Minneapolis Central Library’s Cargill Hall, “Art Needs People” features all new works by the artists of the Minneapolis Art Lending Library (MALL), a nonprofit organization lending original works of art to members of the Twin Cities community, free of charge. The exhibit celebrates the eclectic and generous community of artists who make MALL possible.
Join us for opening receptions during Northern Spark, Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16, 9 p.m.–2 a.m. both nights. Along with the rest of the library, the exhibit will be open all hours of the free, overnight arts festival, as Minneapolis Central Library is one of three host sites for the event in downtown Minneapolis. During the receptions, chat with MALL staff and volunteers about the organization and learn about upcoming programs and opportunities.
