Description | Come to Fosterfields for this daytime event for families and visitors of all ages, where you can help cut and harvest ice, learn about maple sugaring, and help the staff saw wood. Pet the Jersey cows and greet our goats, chickens, and other barnyard animals. See a cooking demonstration inside the historic 1915 farmhouse, and also take a self-guided first-floor tour of The Willows, our 1854 historic mansion built by Gen. Joseph W. Revere, a grandson of patriot Paul Revere, which has period furnishings and special trompe l'oeil paintings in the dining room said to have been painted by Revere himself, a self-taught artist. The little ones can “make their own snow” with a snowflake craft inside the Visitors Center during the visit. Everyone can take a wagon ride around the farm to see it in all of its wintry splendor.
