DescriptionThe Golden Corner Region of Upstate South Carolina is a land of enchantment with more waterfalls than anywhere else east of the Mississippi. Lake Jocassee SC is a one of the most pristine fresh water mountain lakes in the Southeast. The Lake's 75 mile shoreline is almost entirely protected as a watershed and is part of the Jocasse Gorges Conservation Area. Accessed via Devils Fork State Park in Salem SC; visitors can bring their own boat or rent one for daily adventures or take a guided waterfall tour. Perhaps enjoy a day of world class fresh water fishing or hiking on one of the waterfall laden nature trails. Visitors can also thrill to a whitewater rafting experience on wild and scenic Chattooga (Deliverance) River which lies on the border between South Carolina & Georgia. Truly Nature's Paradise awaits for both the young and young at heart.
