DescriptionTexas declared its independence in 1836. Tour the home where the last Texas president lived, see rich history of Texas and more. Tour Star of the Republic Musuem, the only institution of its kind displaying exhibits and artifacts from the period when Texas was a nation. Indpenendence Hall sits on the cornerstones of the original site where 59 delegates crafted a declaration of Independence in 1836. Barrington Living History farm, Anson Jones original homestead, will allow you to see how folks lived in mid 1800's Texas.
