DescriptionThe Village of Greendale is a National Historic Landmark as listed by the United States Landmark Bureau. The downtown area is comprised of the Village Hall (administration building) unique shops, restaurants and drinking establishments and community learning center and post office. The homes (Greendale Originals) surrounding were constructed primarily during the late 1930's as a model community, designed by Roosevelt and the Federal Government (known as a Greenbelt community). Narrow winding streets, walking paths and character abound in our Village. Greendale offers many special events throughout the year, so be sure to check out our website!! Also home to Goodwill of Southeastern Wisconsin corporate headquarters. Greendale's charm is second to none!
