Area Overview

Williston is a small town with old fashioned beliefs. God, country and children come first.
We are surrounded by many farms. Peanuts and watermelon are large crops from this area.
Horses and cattle farms are also plentiful in the area.

Tourism sites include
Two Tails Ranch - an elephant compound dedicated to protecting the endangered Asian Elephant.
Devil's Den Springs - A prehistoric dive cave and spring.
Blue Grotto - A natural spring for diving. Accommodations on site.
Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens, Inc. - A non profit Botanical Garden featuring waterfalls, plants & flowers & walking paths.
Kirby Family Farm - 174 acres of beautiful farmland which features a 100 year old Locomotive & Florida's Largest private railroad. Special ongoing events all year.
Two Hawk Hammock - Lodging, trail riding, gift shop, custom woodworking. Entertainment, Events & Festivals.

Family owned restaurants as well as a restaurant serving those who fly into Williston Airport.
Chain restaurants are also available.

The City of Williston hosts an Independence Day festival on July 3rd each year. There is no admission to the park and the amusement rides for children are free.

The Central Florida Peanut Festival takes place on the 1st Saturday in October every year. This festival brings thousands of visitors to the area. It is a family friendly event featuring musical entertainment all day, Little King , Queen and Baby Peanut contest. The event features arts & craft vendors, custom items and free grilled peanut butter & jelly sandwiches while they last. There are rides for children as well as a petting zoo featuring an elephant and many other exotic animals.

Williston is home to several other attractions.

Best Time To Go:

Spring and fall.

We enjoy three seasons each year. Winter, if it comes usually only lasts for one to two weeks and we DO NOT get snow!

We are located far enough inland that we are rarely impacted by Hurricanes.

Accommodations

Devil's Den Springs provides diving in their prehistoric caverns. They have on site accommodations as well as camp sites.
Blue Grotto provides accommodations as well as many other activites for non divers.
Williston RV Resort is rated one of the top 100 full service camp grounds in the country.
