Located in Central Texas, Temple is home to 70,000+. Temple is part of Bell County with a population of 327,000. Temple is strategically located along on Interstate 35 and U.S. Highway 190. Temple is linked to major Texas cities including Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio and Houston.
Originally a railroad town, Temple continues to be situated as a growing transportation and distribution hub, manufacturing center and a highly regarded medical community with the only level 1 trauma center between Austin and Dallas.

Temple is centrally located to benefit from amenities of the region whether it is a zoo in Waco, or a planetarium in Killeen, or a museum in Austin. Temple boasts of a city park system second to none with a hike/bike trail that connects east to west, north to south. A part of the 45 city parks are frisbee golf, splash parks, playgrounds, picnic tables and more. Nearby Lake Belton offers outdoor recreation with fishing, trails, boating and parks. State Parks are numerous and within a short drive.
Shopping opportunities range from big names like Macy's, Dillards, JC Penneys, WalMart, Lowe's and Home Depot, to small locally owned shops. A new IMAX enhances the cinema experience at Temple Mall. The new Cinemark and Grand Avenue Theatres round out the movie going opportunities.
A variety of excellent national chain restaurants and local eateries can satisfy any palate. Life long learning opportunities are available through offerings from Temple College. Large concerts, conventions, festivals and events are held at various locations like the Frank W. Mayborn Civic and Convention Center, or the Santa Fe Plaza located in historic downtown Temple.
