Area Overview

People from all walks of life can find something to do in and around Kitsap County.

Things to Do

Recreation & Fitness

Everything from shopping to paddle boarding.
Coming up in June is the Kitsap Peninsula National Water Trails Festival. This is a celebration of the 371 miles of shoreline that are the only nationally designated salt water trail in the country. The festival is on the 18th and 19th, and encompasses several ports in the area, starting at the Silverdale Waterfront Park on the 18th. There will be entertainment, events, music, great food, and lots of fun. Open to the public.

Cultural Activities

Kitsap County is home to the largest naval station on the West Coast, and there are several museums that are dedicated to Naval History, including the USS Turner Joy, which is a floating museum located at the Port of Bremerton. Also in the area are several Native American Tribes, the closest being the Suquamish Tribe near Poulsbo, with many cultural buildings, tours, and events throughout the year. And anything not available here is only an hour's boat ride away.

Attractions

Anything you may want to do is within a few hours drive or less. There are several parks, lakes, and beaches within an hour's drive. And for those who prefer the indoors, there are tons of casinos, breweries, wineries, and art galleries.

Transportation

We are a few hours drive away from Seatac, however, there is a small airfield in Bremerton that caters to small planes and helicopters. There are several car rentals and taxi services, as well as a great public transportation program that includes drive on and foot ferries as well as buses all over the county and to surrounding counties as well.
