Area Overview
Philipsburg and Anaconda are the core of the Pintler Scenic Route. This area is blessed with year-round recreation opportunities, scenic splendor and of course, plenty of history. Founded in 1866 as a trading center, Philipsburg now boasts a National Historic District and one of the most lovingly restored street fronts you’ll see anywhere. Anaconda was founded by Marcus Daly in 1883. He became one of the world’s wealthiest men by supplying copper for electrical and telephone wiring in the late 19th century. Today, Anaconda is part of the nation’s largest National Historic Landmark District.
Includes Cities/Towns: Anaconda, Philipsburg.
