New Iberia is a city with a small down feel. Visit the home of Tabasco pepper sauce, take a walk along the Teche, stay at a bed and breakfast and be sure to enjoy our wonderful restaurants.

Recreation & Fitness

Plenty of sightseeing, plenty of historical landmarks. This is the home of James Lee Burke, writer of the novels featuring Dave Robicheaux. There is a Bayou Teche museum, as well as a tour of the Tobasco properties and factory. There are also plenty of outdoor activities for people to participate in.

Cultural Activities

There's plenty of Cajun culture in this area with festivals happening regularly thorough out the year, including the Gumbo Cook off, Dave Robicheaux Literary Festival and others.


There is a great tour of New Iberia available multiple times a week.


Rental cars are the best option when visiting.
