Ennis is a small western town in Madison Valley famous for our blue ribbon fishing in Madison River. Downtown Ennis boasts local shops and restaurants. There is also a self guided art walk downtown. You can also spend your time in Ennis engaging in outdoor activities from hiking Sphinx Mountain, to horseback riding, fishing, swimming in Ennis lake, and much more. Ennis is popular in the fall for large game hunting. Winter brings snowmobile enthusiasts, cross country skiers, and those looking to escape the larger resort destinations. Lodging options are available year round from a comfy hotel, a quaint bed and breakfast to an impressive mountain lodge can all be found in Madison Valley.

Madison Valley offers many recreational activities. Ennis Lake and Madison River offer opportunities to float, boating, swimming, and fishing. There are miles of hiking in the neighboring mountain ranges, horseback riding trails, and many roads to take the atv or off road vehicle on. Madison Meadows Golf Course is home to a 9 hole golf course and tennis courts. The town of Ennis also has many festivals throughout the summer. A few of the most popular are Tap Into Ennis - Brew and Spirit Festival, our 4th of July Rodeo Parade (which draws over 4,000 people), Moods of the Madison, Tie One On Fly Fishing Festival, Madison Valley Arts Festival, and the Hunters Feed. On Friday and Saturday nights many of the bars in town offer live music.
