Eastern end of Long Island surrounded by. The Atlantic Ocean on the South Fork, The great Peconic Bay in the middle, many fresh & salt water lakes and the Long Island Sound on the North Fork. The North Fork boasts many vineyards and wineries featuring some of the Best of the best, North East coast award winning wines. Fishing, boating and water sports are plentiful !! The South Fork has miles of Ocean Front Beaches with sprawling famous celebrity mansions, great restaurants, abundant boutiques, farm fresh produce, and night life. Each are a short drive from central Riverhead the affordable hotels, golf courses, water park, & shopping malls. A must see is the very eastern tip of Long Island Montauk's historic lighthouse. Here you can take a ferry to outlaying islands Martha's Vineyard, or Block Island.

Luxury Jitney bus line that runs to both the North & South Fork direct from NYC several times daily. Long Island Rail Road offers daily transportation between NYC and all east End towns on the North and south Forks.
