Indiana Dunes Country features 15 miles of Lake Michigan coastline and 200-foot sand dunes in the Portage and Chesterton areas. Visitors to the dunes often come into Chesterton and Valparaiso for great downtown dining and shopping. And with great hotels and bed & breakfast inns located near the beach and in the quaint towns, Indiana Dunes Country is a great place to enjoy a vacation and then take day trips to Chicago or Amish country.

Although this is a nature destination, the nearby towns are bustling with fun attractions, dining and shopping.
