Willard Munger State Trail - The nation's longest paved trail starts in Hinckley and travels all the way to Duluth. Beginning in Hinckley you can travel along the same route that engineer James Root took with his crew on September 1st, 1894 when they rescued more than 300 people from the Hinckley Fire. The trail takes you through several towns along the way with many great scenic views and unique towns and shops to visit.Parking is available at trail head.

The Hinckley Fire Museum memorializes the story of the Great Fire of 1894 in the restored depot that was originally built in 1894, just after the fire. The museum, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, includes the original waiting rooms for men and women, the eating area known as the Beanery and the Freight Room, where once every hour a 20 minute documentary video about the fire is played. Life in the 1890's is on exhibit upstairs in the Depot Agents Apartment. The Hinckley Fire Museum is open Tuesday-Sunday, 10:00am -5:00pm, from May 1st - October 21st. Closed Mondays except in July & August.
Each July, Grand Casino Hinckley hosts The Grand Celebration Pow Wow. No other Pow Wow compares with this gathering of over 1,200 singers, drummers, and dancers. Experience native food and crafts as you learn of time-honored traditions.
Experience life at a fur post and Indian encampment of nearly 200 years ago at the North West Company Fur Post. Located on Hwy 7 1.5 miles west of Pine City, the post is open Tues. - Sat.

St. Croix is Minnesota’s largest state park with over 33,000 acres of forests, meadows, marshes and streams. Established in 1943, the park was originally developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps as a recreation demonstration area. This location has been valued for thousands of years, from the fi rst nations to Dakota and Ojibwe tribes, fur traders, loggers, settlers and modern recreationists.

West Side Park has a large playground, picnic shelter, band shell, softball fields and a basketball court. The Hinckley Community Center is available to rent and seats up to 400 people.
