Healdsburg - Sonoma County, CA is a wine country town of 11,000 +/- people deep agricultural roots and small town values. Main industries, grape growing, wine making and tourism.

Healdsburg is surrounded by several of Northern California's finest regional wine appellations, including Alexander Valley, Chalk Hill, Dry Creek Valley, and Russian River Valley. Centrally located to over 100 world class wineries and tasting rooms, Healdsburg is the ideal place to discover all the best that Sonoma County wine country has to offer.

Explore beyond the central downtown Plaza and you’ll find incredible hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, redwoods, rowboats and hot air balloons for aerial views of it all.

Cultural Activities

Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, The Green Music Center provide nationally know entertainment. Local artist colony and world class galleries. Lifelong learning classes. Live theater and performance including the annual Healdsburg Jazz festival each June.

Attractions

The Russian River offers beach access and sunbathing. Lake Sonoma has picnicking spots, houseboat rentals, camping, water skiing and fishing. River Rock Casino is open year round with a full service bar and restaurant. The Healdsburg Museum and Historical society has ongoing exhibits from Pomo Indian baskets to early settlers in the area. As the hub of three major wine growing regions Healdsburg has over 150 wineries open for touring and tasting, picnicking, wines sales, weddings and special events. Local small beer and cider producers offer tasting and tours. A short, scenic drive will take you to the California coast and the Pacific Ocean.

Transportation

Sonoma County Airport is served by Alaska Air and Allegiant Airlines. There are daily flights to Los Angeles, San Diego, Portland and Seattle, and Las Vegas. Transportation is available to San Francisco Airport and also to Oakland Airport via shuttle.
Local bus transportation connects Healdsburg to Santa Rosa and beyond. There is also in town bus service, taxis and a pedicab.
