Dayton is tucked in the Touchet Valley at the foothills of the Blue Mountains, located in southeastern Washington. Visitors enjoy a historic Main Street with boutique shopping, restaurants, an art gallery, and several museums. Excellent outdoor recreation abounds with Bluewood ski resort just 30 minutes from town, excellent fishing, scenic hikes, swimming, picnicking, camping, and hunting.Dayton is blessed to have comprehensive healthcare with Columbia County Health System providing a hospital, assisted living, and clinics. Dayton School District provides K-12 education with a full array of extracurricular activities. The historic Liberty Theater shows top notch films weekly and is also home to live performances, including the annual community musical and variety shows.
