Touted as the 4 Season's Playground. We have the best of both worlds with the tree covered Turtle Mountains and rolling hills of the prairie. Wildlife abounds. Lot's of lakes including Lake Metigoshe which is a year round destination for fishing, water & snow sports. Close to the beautiful International Peace Gardens and International Music Camp. Bottineau is a full service community with shopping and services. We have public schools and a 2 year college in town. Hospital, eye doctor, dentists, lumber yards etc. We have a very active community with many civic clubs and organizations. Affordable housing ranging from smaller low end homes up to very large lakefront home and everything in between. Apartments, assisted living and senior apartments are available as well as various programs. Parks, walking paths & bike trails.

Hunting,Fishing, Golfing, watersports, skiing (both downhill & cross country) snowmobiling in the winter with over 300 miles of groomed trails with warming huts, lots of festivals and shows, local theater, International Music Camp & Peace Gardens. Hiking, biking,fitness center, sporting events including National Champion college Hockey Team. Shopping, museums, golf coarses. Local airport for private planes.

Regional concert series, local theater and museum's. International Music Camp provides live performances weekly. County Fair brings big name bands to town. Local Casino brings in big name entertainment. Lot's of local performances by schools. Local talent performs at various events throughout the year.

Summer and winter.

We enjoy all 4 season's in Bottineau. Beautiful springs with a definite change in the season. Warm comfortable summers with lot's of sunshine and clear evenings for walks and stargazing. Perfect for swimming, boating, fishing. Very colorful Fall season with many leaved trees changing seasons. Warm days and cool evenings. Cold winters but lot's and lot's of sunshine. Great opportunities for winter activities with cross country ski trails, downhill skiing, tubing and snowboarding at Bottineau Winter Park. Over 300 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. Some of the greatest ice fishing in the country.
