Angel Fire is small-town friendliness and outdoor adventure for the entire family. Summer adventure happens on the Zip Line Adventure, one of the highest zip lines in the nation at an elevation of 10,600 feet. Angel Fire Mountain Bike park is rated as one of the top mountain bike parks in the Southwest. Fun doesn't stop there. Try Monte Verde Lake for fishing, canoeing, paddle boating and paddle boarding. Angel Fire also offers over 30 miles of hiking trails in the area that all of the family can enjoy.

World-class Music from Angel Fire chamber music festival is a highlight for summer in Angel Fire. Balloons Over Angel Fire brings hot-air balloons to the Moreno Valley and fills the skies with color on Father's Day weekend each year. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park is the first memorial to the Vietnam Veteran erected in the United States. This memorial was built to honor the heroic efforts of our fighting men and women of the Vietnam era.

Winter brings it's own adventure with downhill skiing and snowboarding on over 500 acres of ski area and the Angel Fire Nordic Area offers cross country skiing and snowshoeing all winter long. Snowmobile in the Carson National Forest just outside of Angel Fire and spot elk in the high mountain meadows covered in snow.

Anytime is adventure time in Angel Fire. Soak up the sun, and every changing scenery and learn how Angel Fire got its name almost any evening when the sun sets over the Sangre de Criso mountains with a view of Wheeler Peak, New Mexico's highest mountain peak at over 13,000 feet elevation.

No matter what your lifestyle is, there is plenty to do or "not do" in Angel Fire. Angel Fire is an outdoor town with mountain biking, fishing, hunting, boating, golf, hiking, bird watching, snow skiing,snowmobiling and just enjoying the outdoors. Yearly events can keep one as busy as they want to be or kick back and relax on your deck and just watch the sun set and breathe the fresh mountain air as the elk and mule deer roam.

Cultural Activities

Music From Angel Fire is one of the highlights of the music season. This Chamber Music Festival, which runs from mid-August to Labor Day, brings world class musicians to Angel Fire and the surrounding communities.

Angel Fire ArtsFest, in mid-July, is one of the longest-running arts festivals in Northern New Mexico.

Angel Fire Garden Club Tour of mountain gardens and Angel Fire Parade of Homes give you an insight into what mountain living can be for you and your family.

Transportation

Angel Fire has shuttle service available during ski season from the Angel Fire resort Ski Area parking lots directly to the base of the ski area.

The Angel Fire Southern Colfax County Airport offers a single runway of 8,900 feet at an elevation of 8,383 feet. Fuel and flight services are available. Hanger service and tie-downs are available.

We have four distinct seasons with the snowy days of winter, the mild days of summer and the amazing, color-filled days of fall.

Accommodations

Angel Fire has accommodations for everyone's taste. Hotel lodging is available at The Lodge at Angel Fire Resort and the Elkhorn Lodge. Condominiums from studio through four bedrooms are available for nightly, weekly and monthly rentals. Many Angel Fire homes are also available for rentals with views of the area, some along the ski trails and some along the golf course. Make your plans early to get your choice of accommodations.
