Movie buffs, there's action at Crossgates Mall's Regal 18 Megaplex & IMAX Movie Theatre and Colonie Center's Regal Cinemas Stadium 13. Maybe you'll catch a glimpse of Albany in another scene on the big screen! Artists gravitate toward Lark Street, Albany's "Village in the City". Its composition is a blend of the symmetry of commercial and residential buildings that line its ten-block street. Celebrate the arts in Albany on the 1st Friday of every month (events calendar).

There is no need to canvas upstate NY in search of unique and eclectic experiences because downtown's Center Square is highlighted with year-round arts, dining, nightlife, and shopping; drawing in visitors worldwide for many of Albany's most popular events: Art on Lark, LarkFEST, and Winter WonderLark, which features the notoriously invigorating annual Santa Speedo Sprint. Transportation



Located at the crossroads of the Northeast, the Capital Region is accessible by major expressways, well-maintained rural thoroughfares, and modern transportation services including the Albany International Airport (ALB) and Amtrak Station. The New York State Thruway (I-90), Adirondack Northway (I-87), Taconic Parkway, and Interstate 88 all have converge in the region, making it easy to reach major cities in Canada, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Jersey in a matter of hours.
