Attractions, Sightseeing and Events

Sedona Tourism and Sightseeing
Sedona, Arizona is located in northern Arizona just a 2 hour drive north of Phoenix (our state capital). Visitors can easily fly into Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix or Flagstaff's Pulliam Airport which is only a 35 minute drive to Sedona. Sedona is ranked as one of the most beautiful places in America due to the towering and expansive red rock formations that surround this small elevated desert town of a mere 19 square miles. For the outdoor enthusiast, the recreational opportunities are truly amazing. Visitors can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking, tubing, swimming, and camping in some of the most beautiful and secluded spots in the country. Additionally, for those interested in artwork, we have some of the most talented artists in the world showcasing their array of mediums of artwork here in red rock country. Combine that with a wide selection of delicious restaurants ranging raw food to fine dining, there is plenty to do here while on vacation. Sedona is also just a short drive to nearly a dozen world class wineries for those wishing to indulge in a glass of vino. After enjoying all you can of red rock country, take a short two and a half hour drive to the north and you reach the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.  Skip to Best Time to Visit.
