The Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. It is world renowned and directly in the center of the Grand Circle. Several National Parks (Grand Canyon South/North Rims, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Monument Valley state/tribal Park are just a few) surround this area within a 2.5 hour scenic drive. Lake Powell is at the forefront in the immediate area as the second largest man-made lake in the country. The best time to visit Arizona is in the winter and fall. Winter temperatures are cold with averages in the upper 40's and highs in the low 60's. Nights are cold with lows in the mid 30's. Fall temperatures are cool with averages in the low 60's and highs in the mid 70's. Fall nights are cold with lows in the mid 40's.
