North Conway has something for everyone in the Family. For families there are plenty of activities, miniture golf, wave Pools, swimming and lots of attractions like Story Land and Santa's Village. For the shopper there is tax free shopping at more than 200 outlets, boutiques and shops. Set in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest, North Conway and the surrounding Mt Washington Valley offers hundreds of hiking and biking trails, rushing waterfalls and easily accessible natural swimming holes. This is a rock climber's heaven and in the winter ice climbers rush here for the terrain and the outfitters. Oh yes, and did we mention golf? There are 10 courses within a 30-or-less minute drive from North Conway. In the Fall people from all over the world come for scenic drives and the color which blankets every turn. Enjoy the 100-mile Kancamagus Highway, one of the country's only scenic by-way loops. Look for moose and wildlift all along this route too. In the winter there are 7 ski resorts and 6 XC Centers all offering everything from easy to thrilling terrain. Each of these also offer rental shops and lessons too, plus a packed calendar of events. Add to that tubing hills, mountain coasters (not one but two!) and giant swings, plus sledding, ice skating and....well...you're getting the picture - the possibilities are endless!
