The “Gastro Mechanics” light up the sky with their one-of-a-kind, blowtorch-powered dining pop-up featuring an 8-course progressive-style dinner with stunning views of the city. Guests are greeted by "Gastro Mechanics," clad in welding masks that guide them through the process, all while wielding giant blow torches with flames flying high to create their savory donut sliders "gastro tanks," skewers, and sides. The rooftop at the W Hollywood has been designed to look like a drive-through auto service bay, complete with oil drums, hubcaps, vintage motorcycles and of course, rock 'n' roll music and videos playing in the background. The extended dates and times of the dinner series are Friday and Saturday nights, Nov. 20, 21 and 28 and Dec. 4, 5, 11, and 12, with seatings at 7:30 and 8:45pm.
