| Description | While the 57th Street Art Fair Committee officially canceled the 73rd annual in person Art Fair, the show will go on… online that is! By visiting www.57thstreetartfair.org, art aficionados will have the opportunity to learn about the artists they would have seen at this year’s 57th St. Art Fair, while being directed to the individual artist sites with works available for purchase.
“As the Midwest’s oldest juried art fair, we feel it is important to support our incredible artists,” says board member Catherine Slighton. “When the COVID-19 crisis hit, we had invited 200 artists. While the Art Fair Committee and many visitors are disappointed by the need to cancel the physical June event, we also recognize that our artists are finding this a particularly difficult time. With the Virtual Event, it is our goal to support the artists, while continuing to engage our community.”
