| Description | Exciting developments are occurring on the continent of Africa and you have a rare opportunity to connect with African Businesses and Ministers from a variety of African countries during the upcoming Texas-Africa Business Summit.
The theme for the Summit is “Rebranding Africa: Strategic Partnering for Economic Development.” The purpose is to initiate mutual public/private partnerships, promote economic growth, integration, and free trade between Texas and Africa. Participants will have the opportunity to network with key African and US private sector and government leaders, identify specific growth areas and hear detailed information about projects that are ripe for investment. Second Bi-Annual Texas Africa Business Summit will be held September 27-28, 2012 at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy Rice University. African Heads of State, African Ministers and Ambassadors will be in attendance, as well as several local, state, and national private sector and public leaders.
The VIP Awards Gala is an opportunity to connect with African Businesses and Ministers from a variety of African countries, as well as local, state and national private sector and public leaders. Guests will be welcomed at a reception and auction, followed by dinner, the award ceremony and African entertainment of regional music and dance. Texas State Senator Rodney Ellis will be the keynote speaker.
