Description | The Texarkana Museums System is comprised of three museum facilities. The Museum of Regional History is the museum that tells the fascinating story of the city in two states and is housed in the city's oldest brick building. Discovery Place Children's Museum is the area's best hands-on history and science museum and has a one-of-a-kind 12 foot sound wall. The Draughon-Moore "Ace of Clubs" House is a uniquely designed Italianate Victorian home. The floor plan in the shape of a "club" is said to have been inspired by the winnings of a poker game with the lucky draw of the ace of clubs thus giving the home its popular name. A variety of exhibits at each facility provides something for everyone. |
