Watercolors with Kim Brown
Come explore watercolor painting with Artist and WCPS Art Educator Kim Brown. We will be painting scenes of nature using watercolor. We will explore different qualities of color, light and dark, warm and cool and see how they change throughout nature. Students will paint items such as mountains, trees, the sea, animals, people and houses that would fit in a landscape

Students will create Birdhouse collages which will be displayed in City Park. Taxidermy butterfly with diorama and create wire/rope octopus.
3D Art with Melissa Gibson

Comics and Cartooning Emily Vaughn
Do you love to read comic books, watch cartoons, or draw funny pictures? Campers will draw, paint, and even animate during this week of cartooning fun. Learn about the invention of animation, the art of drawing a good caricature, create your own comic book, and even draw in popular Japanese anime and manga style. Some artists included in curriculum: Winsor Maccay, Tim Burton, Takashi Murakami, Walt Disney

Wild Kingdom Priscilla Howard
The art camp’s theme Wild Kingdom will include two and three dimensional art on animals. Campers will draw, paint and print animals of their choice. They will also have opportunities to create relief collages, wire and clay animal sculptures. The art will encourage creative and imaginative application of art mediums. The camp will show off your wild side!

Age: 7-12
Students will learn art concepts and techniques, then apply to art projects. Students will also explore the museum and its exhibits; a unique experience to inspire the young artists and create a lifelong relationship with art and the museum. Each week will have a different teacher, lesson, and medium.
Students should bring a packed lunch. 1 hour lunch break.
Cost:$165 non-members/$150 members (per week/class)
