| Description | A Showcase of the Civil War, the Soldiers National Museum displays a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from not only the Civil War but other major American Conflicts. The Museum also features beautifully crafted miniature dioramas of ten major conflicts of the Civil War, which include Fort Sumter, First Bull Run, The Monitor and the Merrimac, The Battle of Antietam Creek, The Battle of Gettysburg, Lookout Mountain, The Battle of Atlanta, The Battle of Mobile Bay and The Siege at Petersburg. Also, includes a life-sized narrated Confederate encampment. The museum is located in the former home of the Soldiers National Orphanage. |
