| Description | Seven Oaks Recreation is family-owned and operated and offers year-round family outdoor recreation in central Iowa. Located in Boone, Iowa - a quick drive from Ames, Fort Dodge, Des Moines, Johnston, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines, Grimes, Adel, and other surrounding communities. We offer canoeing, kayaking, river tubing, paintball,skiing, snowboarding ,snow tubing and Gladiator Assault Challenge mud run. Our full service canoe, kayak and river tube floats on the Des Moines river are offered 7 days a week. We have 68 canoes, 45 kayaks and 260 river tubes for your paddling or floating adventures. Our river trips are fun for beginners as well as experienced canoe/kayak paddlers. You can paddle your way down the river, or simply relax, float, and enjoy miles of wooded bluffs. We can arrange a river float for you, your family or group. For winter fun, Seven Oaks' activities include skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing. We have over 600 ski rentals and 150 snowboard rentals to outfit all ages. Our slopes consist of 11 runs varying from beginner to expert and offer a terrain park, rail yard and beginner area. We have 2 triple chairlifts, 2 surface lifts and an affordable snow tubing park. "The Lodge at Seven Oaks" provides ample seating with a great view of the slopes, fast food and Coal Creek Lounge.
