The ability to hike on one of hundreds of trails in and around the mammoth rock formations, canyons, mountains, etc. is a once in a lifetime adventure. Some hikes are very tough and others are almost as easy as a walk in the park. The hike will change you.
The town has lots of great restaurants and places to eat including our teal green arched McDonalds. Lots of shopping in the shopping district called Uptown. Sedona has over 60 art galleries and rivals Santa Fe as a artist community and art town.
The metaphysical community is very active with hundreds of practitioners who can read your mind, your life, your future, your past and anything else you might want that you cannot buy elsewhere.
The ancient ruins of indians of the past are fascinating including Montezuma Castle and Montezuma Well.
So, plan on a visit to Sedona.. come stay in a hotel, resort, B & B, inn, campground, RV, or just for the afternoon. And keep in mind, The Grand Canyon is just 2.5 hours north of Sedona so you can stay here and visit the canyon in one day.
And when you are here, take a helicopter or airplane ride over the red rock mountains - you will be thrilled. |
