DescriptionAt Peace Pups Dogsledding we offer many different dog powered activities throughout the fall and winter seasons. We are a small business with an emphasis on attention to detail and service to our customers and our canine family. Peace Pups donates 10% for peace each year as a means of acting globally while working locally.

During the fall we offer dog scooter lessons with your own dog or with one of ours. It's a great way to try dog scootering with your own dog to see if it is something the two of you will enjoy before investing money in the activity.

Fall is also our season for dog cart tours from our kennel in Lake Elmore. These include a cart ride, a slide show on dogsledding and the history of our kennel as well as time to interact with the dogs in their play yard after the run!

Once snow flies we switch over to sleds. We currently have two locations for our dogsled tours.

One is at the Stowe Mountain Resort where we run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. These are a short ride offering a unique way of seeing Mount Mansfield after a long day of skiing as our team of Siberian Huskies pull you along the lower part of the mountain. For most of the winter these are in the dark and lighted by our high powered head lamps.

Our other location is in Lake Elmore where we offer day time tours on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. These are a longer outing through the forests of Vermont and allow for more time to interact with the dogs and to learn more about the equipment used for sledding. We also offer a Mushing 101 dogsledding lesson at this location for folks wanting an even more in depth look at what it takes to work with a dog team. With the Mushing 101 you will learn about all facets of training, conditioning and running a dogsled, set up your own equipment and then finish up by driving your own four dog team.

Peace Pups will also be offering guided snowshoe tours starting this winter. These will be a great opportunity to learn more about the Vermont forest and see the woodlands in a way few visitors to our state ever get to do. Our trail location is nestled against the side of the Worcester Range and offers some spectacular scenery which is even more beautiful in the winter months when blanketed with a layer of snow.
