| Description | The Guild is located in a beautifully restored Victorian in Island Heights, NJ. Our mission is to promote and develop the arts to the communities we serve. We offer classes and workshops to children and adults of all levels of experience, in a variety of topics both traditional and non-traditional. Many of our workshops are taught by nationally known artists. Traditional topics include: watercolor, pastels, oil, acrylics and figure drawing. Non-traditional topics include: watercolor on Yupo paper, calligraphy, jewelry, clay techniques, collage, knitting, abstract techniques, seasonally related topics. Additionally we have speciality groups that meet and explore poetry, reduction print making, acoustic music and photography. We have 3 galleries which feature 2 solo artists and our members' work. These shows change on a monthly basis. The Guild hosts State level juried shows through the year. Our gift shop features the work of our artists and is open during Guild hours. The Guild is easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway and local routes, and is right on your way to visiting the Jersey Shore at Seaside Heights, Seaside Park, Island Beach State Park or Long Beach Island! |
