Very Good | I discovered the carriage tour on Groupon. After doing a little research I found good and bad reviews but decided to go ahead and purchase the ride since it was a good deal and figured I would see for myself if this place is really as bad as some of you say. Boy am I glad I did because my family had a wonderful time! The horses are in excellent condition and are obviously cared for and loved by these people. Our guide was fun and really gave us a lot of great info about ocala and horses in general. She stopped by the fences of a few farms where we were greeted by neighboring horses and got to get out and pet them. The facility looked clean to me and our carriage was very clean as well. My kids also got to feed carrots to their horses when we got back. I would definately recommend this tour to others and will be going back when I have family come to visit. | Middle age female | 04-12-11 |
Don't Bother! | I was very disappointed in there services. The driver of the carriage was very nice, but the owner was very now it all. Always correcting someone, even the customers. The place has no grass, the horses do look ok but have to work way to much. Those horses sometimes go out 3 and 4 times a day in the heat of the summer and get no break in between without ever being changed out. There was one gray horse there that could barely even walk when we were there. This woman should not be doing this. Please people, there are other places to go without going here. If this woman worked half as much as she makes everyone else work, it would be a miracle. | Elderly female | 03-01-11 |
Don't Bother! | Bad place. Not very clean and prices are different when you arrive. Just a rip off place. | Young female | 12-19-10 |
Excellent! | I was just made aware of the comments and would like to add that the carriages are not moldy and the BBQ is served in a rustic farm style and quite unique. The tour prices are all set prior to arrival and it is customary to tip the drivers. Drivers are very knowledgeable about the area and lots of interesting facts about Horse Capital of the World are learned. We try our best to please and entertain all our guests. | Middle age female | 05-04-10 |
Don't Bother! | This place is disgusting! Horses are filthy & smell. No grass anywhere! The "Banquet" facility is in a rundown barn with dogs that are actually allowed to get up on the tables! 1 porto john is the only facility. The "Scenic" drive is down the road with traffick. | Middle age female | 02-14-10 |
