This Museum is a must see if in the South-Coast Region of Massachusetts. A 7000 volume library is also on the premesis for the historian in you. The Museum is housed in one of the oldest textile mills in the nation, Wamsutta Mills, makers of the famous Supercale Sheets. The museum shares the building with the New Bedford Antiques Center @ Wamsutta Place, so if you like antiquing and the glory of fine glass...this is a must stop on your travel plans. Plenty of ethnic and local seafood restaurants within our area. Just 1/8 of a mile from Interstate I-195.
