Description | Large collection of telephones, including the first telephone in Michigan ( St. Ignace ), tools, insulators and go withs from the late 1800's. Largest Pioneer pin display and character phone display in the world. Hands on items. Working step switch. Town history from 1840's on. Over 144,000 names ( and growing ) in our genealogy data base. Gazettes for sale of Montrose people, businesses and history now number over 145 issues. Special tours available. We continue to add to the Telephone collection and have changing displays of many different collectable items. Selected as most quirky museum in Genesee County.
